Terry was a spurs fan through and through. He used to come to Tottenham with me and my brother Andy. I remember one year I think it was 1988-89 season that all three of us had a season ticket, we travelled all over the country supporting the super spurs. I know that Terry really enjoyed his football, as did myself and Andy, but he found it very difficult to walk the 35 minute stroll down the high road to seven sisters station. His knee was playing him up more and more regularly, and for this reason he didn't renew his membership the following season. I don't think I could manage giving him a piggy back too much longer. Great times and very enjoyable, I remember one time as we were walking back from one match, Terry, it could only be Terry, tapped a policewoman on the shoulder and kept walking, leaving me to face the music, and did i have to do some explaining. I very nearly got arrested, but a bit of smooth talking just about saved my bacon, of course Terry was creased up laughing in the distance. On another occasion Terry and me went to Wembley for the Charity Shield, and a good time was had by one and all, but after the game we had to move pretty quick to catch the train. Every time I looked around Terry was miles behind, I had to keep stopping to wait, but eventually we made it, football is definitely a young mans game.
